Panasonic Toughbooks Laptops

Panasonic has released the all new Panasonic Toughbooks (laptops) that are as tough as Ford’s Trucks. The new models of the Panasonic Toughbooks are CF-W5, CF-T5 and CF-Y5 which names are pretty strange and “tough” to remember. Nevertheless, the most interesting fact about this “Tough” laptops are they actually has passed the Military Specifcations drop-test. However, the features and specifications of the new Panasonic Toughbooks aren’t that cool.

Samsung is definitely the leader in manufacturing the world’s best LCD screen. The recent accouncement from Samsung saying that she has invented a new chip which enables a mobile LCD screen to be clearly readable under bright sunlight. The intelligent Display Driver IC (DDI) chip is integrated with the screen to make it visible in sun without consuming more battery.

The trick for this technology is because of smart algorithms which can sense ambient light and tune the backlight automatically.

Mass production of this smart LCD screen will be started at the end of this year. So, it is feasable to expect for better screen in the coming cellular phones or maybe laptops.

Now you can shallow capsule that can transmit data using wireless technology which is very similiar to shallowing a Wi-Fi chip into your body. This isn’t a joke or lie as FDA has approved the sales of the SmartPill pH.p Capsule.

It’s a small blue electronic device shaped like a pill that is meant to be swallowed. Because of it’s wireless capablilites it can transmit data [via a reciever worn by the patient] as it is passing through the gastrointestinal tract.

There is a new gadget – a 7-inch 480×234 widescreen digital picture frames which have similiar look of of the conventonal-looking frame, but it can slideshows digital pictures, play videos and play your favorite music.

They’re compatible with the usual array of flash memory cards, and can also play back MP3s with their integrated speakers, along with MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and DivX video files.

This gadget is called storybook and is price tagged for $239.

Thanks to Nanotechnology, the size of portable hard disk has decreases significantly recently. Because of that, the sales of external portable hard disk has skyrocketted. The picture shown above is the Formac Disk Mini which comes in both all-black and all-white versions. The good thing about this Formac protable hard disk is it works on Windows and OS X.

The drives come in 60, 80 and 120GB sizes, can be connected via USB 2.0 and Firewire, and is bus powered, so you can power it off whatever connector you use. Prices range between £70 ($130) for the low end and £160 ($298) for the high end.
