LG is the only Consumer Electronic Manufacturer that can catch up Apple’s technology. The recently announced LG FM33, FM37, and T50 MP3 players look like strong challengers for Apple’s iPods.

The LG FM33 MP3 player is the smallest of the three new MP3 players, with a 1.77-inch LCD screen and dimensions of 42 x 70.5 x 12.5 mm. The LG T50 players have T-DMB on a nice 2.4-inch LCD screen.

The FM37 and the T50 models both have LG’s “mobile XD engine” which enhances screen quality, and both support audio/video playback and a photo/text viewer. The FM37 is available in black, while the T50 and FM33 are available in either black or white. Pricing has not yet been announced.

The noise cancelling earphones is most of the best selling feature of this new line of Sony Walkamn DAPs.

In our line of work we hear a lot of noise from the talking heads day in and out, but we can’t help biting down on this latest hook courtesy of Michael Robertson. The anti-tech-powerexec is known for founding MP3.com, Lindows / Linspire, Skype competitor SIPphone, and DRM-free online music sales biz MP3tunes, not to mention former employer of DRM freedom fighter Jon Johansen — so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that after the ruckus being raised around the Zune’s crippled WiFi and worthless DRM system that he stepped in to take a potshot.

We’re with him a hundred percent on railing against DRM and the somewhat absurd position Microsoft is taking by scrapping PlaysForSure in their own device efforts (what he calls “Screwed for Sure”), but things get a little bombastic: “At first glance the features seem compelling but my prediction is it will be the biggest flop of 2007 with less than 50,000 units sold worldwide.” Also, says Robertson, “I’ve been looking for a good verb to describe losing all of your music to DRM because it’s increasingly common and I think I have one: zune.” Only 50,000 units? Doubtful; and maybe it’s a little much to repurpose the product name to summarily encompass a near universal embitterment for digital rights management (after all, wouldn’t “ipod” work better, especially after the podsuits?), but we’re absolutely not going to argue his thesis: DRM is bad market and bad for the consumer.

Unlike Microsoft, who always jump into others market after seeing others making money (the perfect example right now is the fight between Zune and iPod in digital music player industry), Toshiba, on the other hand, is more creative and innovative in coming out great and excellent gadgets.

The latest gadget from Toshiba is the SD-P50DT player which is a portable hybrid version of DVD and PMP. The Toshiba SD-P50DT player comes with a 5″ LCD screen which is too small to be useful, but the SD-P50DT player supports DivX playback which is one of the most popular hight definition digital video file formats

The Toshiba SD-P50DT player will be released in December.
