Sling Media annouced to the public that they’re releasing their SlingPlayer software for the Mac (beta of course).

The only downside is that the product isn’t compatible with Apple’s wireless products, so you’ll likely need a direct cable connection to the Net or a non-Apple wireless solution.

What a fantastic news for Mac Users.

New Mac Pros to get Intel 8 Core chips?

As soon as Apple has opted for Intel processors, the development speed of her Mac and iBook computers has increased so much. The latest news about Apple is this rising-giant is working on an 8 core update to the Mac Pro which is going to use the “Clovertown” Xeon 5300 quad-core chips”.

Of the four Clovertown chips that have turned up on Intel price lists, only two fit the bill as potential candidates for the new systems due to their 1333MHz, 64-bit dual independent frontside buses and 8MB Level 2 cache.

Gateway Recalled Laptop Batteries

Recalling batteries seems like a trend for every PC manufacturer. Dell is famous for recalling batteries of her laptops. It happens for frequent that AdminPick.com advice all of you to keep the packaging of your Dell laptop so that one day you can send your laptop back to Dell.

Anyway, the latest PC manufacturer that join the “recalling list” is Gateway. Gateway have recalled 35000 batteries voluntarily stating that it can overheat in rare circumstances.

The recalled batteries were shipped in September 2005 of models: Gateway CX200, CX210, E100M, M250, M255, M280, M285, M465, M685, MP8708, NX260, NX510, NX560, NX860, NX100, MX1025, MX6918b and MX1020j.
