Lack of iPod mobility. You cannot Zune from iPod ready stereos and just plug in without wiring. I can carry an ipod on my pocket... not with any cabling or anything. Most people really want that. The whole gig of the iPod is not that it can hold 40GB of music. A desktop can do that already. The iPod provides excellent sound in every iPod ready stereo you plug it to.
